Day 7 Yang Sheng
We spend one‑third of our entire life asleep, which means sleep is not just a nightly routine — it is one of the most powerful healing rituals we have. When we support the body in preparing for deep, restorative sleep, we nourish every organ system, regulate emotions, replenish Qi, and strengthen our life force. This is why practices that clear the day’s residue and settle the nervous system are essential for long‑term vitality, longevity and emotional balance.
Liu Qi Fa, the Six Healing Sounds, is one of the oldest Daoist healing practices, dating back to the 4th century AD. It blends posture, breath, intention, sound vibration and inner light to harmonise the organs, clear stagnant frequencies and transform stored emotional residue. Each sound acts like a tuning fork for the body, gently releasing excess heat, tension and emotional charge so the organs can return to balance.
Practicing the Six Healing Sounds before bed is especially powerful. It clears the energy you’ve absorbed throughout the day, settles the nervous system and prepares the organs for deep rest and repair. This simple ritual becomes a profound Yang Sheng practice — helping you soften, unwind and enter sleep with clarity, spaciousness and emotional ease.
