The third of the five animal frolics is bear, an ancient medical Qigong healing practice that invoke the energy of bear that is gentle, shy, crave comfort, firm and stable. When we imitate the movement, action, characteristic and spirit of the bear, it circulate energy to the spleen and help balance the earth element for late summer and in between seasons. When you have problem with your digestive system including digesting life or emotions, have difficulty with changes, and often worry or have doubt, the bear practice will help harmonise the Qi and transform worry to trust. The yin poses at the end of the practice settles the Qi and help to regulate energy in the spleen and stomach meridians.
